  • 47500 + 47854 t'n't = 5Z47 1328 Ardwick depot-Carnforth Steamtown(854 to Ordsall Junction, see notes below).
  • 47579 = hauled by 47580 from Dereham to Mid Norfolk Railway's Network Rail boundary, and then 579 returned to Dereham alone.
  • 47580 = 0Z47 1425 Dereham-Doncaster TMD.
  • 47739 = 6E07 1355 Washwood Heath-Boston Docks via Leicester/ (6M08 2020 retuen was cancelled.
  • 47828 = 0F03 0503 Norwich CP-Colchester Sidings.
  • 47854 + 57006 = 5Z57 0950 Carnforth Steamtown-Ardwick depot(57).

  • 47500 on the rear of 5Z47 derailed at Ordsall Junction, Manchester, shortly after 1430 and caught fire at the number 2 end of the loco. The fire itself had been put out by 1500 with fire brigade present on the scene. 47854 had been hauling the train. An ITV report with photographs can be found here.

    23/01/13: A recent photo before darkness set in at Ordsall Junction of a scorched 47500. The no.2 end of the loco, closest to the camera, is the end that is scorched. News reports so far have only shown the loco only from the other side.

    09/03/02: A delightful image from the archives of 47500 in happier times, nearly 11 years ago on a Settle and Carlisle route diversion - seen hauling 1M22 through Dent on the way from Carlisle to Preston. It was of course numbered 47770 at the time, and named 'Reserved'.
